filed i130 for gc and got a letter that has priority date listed as march 11,2014. what does this date means? i believe for i130 it takes around 5 month or so. when can i file for i485 form?

Whom did the US citizen file for? Did you mean that US citizen filed i130 for siblings or dependents or parents? There is huge difference among those beneficiaries.

Right now priority date is 08 sep 13 you should wait untill your date becomes current for filing i485..
|
