I looked at a book and found out that those countries which did not directly participate in World War are called third world. You could plot this with development. Looks like those countries which participated directly are enjoying tech and resources, not the third world. Why third world has to be poor? We are poor cause we did not support either first or second world. Hence developed countries never trusted with tech.
