One of my friend went on this process recently. According to him, the lawyer charge the same amount as when filing for New H1B i.e. $2000.00. According to him, lawyer said the process is exact as for filing new H1B. Beside that it should not be much difficult. For time, you can check w/ process time on USCIS, though sometime real work is faster than what indicated on that site.
