You can still invite your parents but have the dean of your dept. write the letter on the basis that you have requested that the dean write a letter indicating about your graduation ceremony and your desire to invite your parents. It should not indicate that the college is inviting your parents but actually that you desire your parents to attend the ceremony. If the dean doesn't write it, go to the chair and don't take NO for an answer. It can be done.

What docs are necessary to make by my parent? I am on H1B, what docs are to be sent to Nepal? Any help would be appreciated.
