guys, my 17 months opt extension is denied. I haven't got the letter explaining the reason yet. hope will get tomorrow. once i get the letter, what are the possible chances that i will be able for extension. can i apply for case open or i can not apply for reconsider? what r the  possible reasons for denial?what are my possible options? help urgent.

masters in civil engineering. i have a valid job. submitted everify number and everything. i don't know why denied. my 12 months opt already expired. but working as my case was pending.

Probably the school did some mistakes there. Talk to the the school about this. Most of the denial are due to their carelessness.

but once i reopen the case with valid reasons,  wil i be granted a extension? and can i apply for h1b also at the same time when my reopen case is pending?

just call the cust service no. thats on the receipt or find it online...call them and ask the reason...as long as u have an e verified employer u sud be good ...its gotta be sth minor like....address verification, or a minor typo.....just have patience...u sud be good.

Yes. It was everified just few days be4 I applied for extension.
