Does anyone know how to recover deleted contacts in Skype. I was going to manage my Skype group contacts but by mistake deleted all my co-workers from a list. If I re-add them, Skype will send an authorization message to contacts. I have googled a lot but to no avail. I do not have a back-up of users list, but there are some files under application data if required. Can the contact list be retrieved without having to re-add users? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I think skype stores contacts in their central database so that users can get their contact list when they log in from different computer or location. when u login, then it downloads the contact list and stores locally in the computer in a file config.xml located in C:\Documents and Settings\My Computer User Name\Application Data\Skype\myskypeusername

do u still have that XML file?

colorado123, thanks. I've added them back through skype-search, and, amazingly, I see them online on my contact list. Ideally,  Skype shouldn't have let me view their status without first sending them an authorization message, but I guess not for old-users.

super007, thanks. I had previously checked config.xml, but since I deleted most of the users by mistake, I could only see two users in config.xml who were on my list. I've them back now, hopefully they won't know I deleted them :) even though it was a mistake.
