It's not just me. It happens to a lot of women out there. You have an amazing relationship with your boyfriend and you continue to have an amazing relationship after you get married. But, after your first child is born, you can see the interest level waning out. There are months and year of abstinence because the interest just is not there.

 I heard it the other way around. I heard that women loses interest in the husband and tend to give more attention to the new born. As a man I think we are always intereted - even 3 times a day. 

Lost of intereset could be, my hypothesis(I'm not father yet);

Could it be that horrifying ordeal that your husband had to go through after he had to encounter you giving birth. Poor guy must still be traumatized by that  incident whenever he thinks about getting close to you.

Ignore him. Focus on important things - raising your child or going to school.

Don't copy american thought process - they think abt sex every 3 minutes (a study showed).
