As you may be aware, guest access has been activated in Shout box.

In the first few hours it was clear that there needed to be some sort of way to identify the guests otherwise they keep coming back with different nicknames to make chatting experience kind of unpleasant.

So in order to encourage guests to 'register' their usernames, the IP address of all guests will be shown to all when you click on their nicknames.

This should provide some form of credibility in the world of incredible anonymity.
