is it ok to eat bhat by hand in bdesh?

Bdesh means Bangladesh?

I think it is ok to eat food by hands in India Pakistan, Bangladesh, but not in other countries. In far east it is usual to use chopsticks, you can also use  spoon and fork too. But in rest of the countries as far as I know people feel uneasy (and gross)  if you eat food by hand. Always use fork and knife to eat food( even dal bhat) and spoon for soup.
We touch everything with our hand so it is not that hygienic to use hands to eat food, unless you wash it before eating.
