A friend of mine (who shall not be named here) was paid 1000 Rupees to participate in today's rally and he had promised to take part on it. But obviously, everything had to be cancelled due to this curfew. I declined to take part even though I was offered the money because to me, long-term peace of more important than my personal benifits.

However, my friend is planning to go to the rally tomorrow as he has already been paid. But there are rumous going round of very unfortunate scenarios tomorrow. Maoist cadres, as the rumour goes, are planning to infiltrate the rally and open fire on the police/army. This could attract a violent response from the army and many many innocent people can be killed. Just to give a bad name to the government. So, I am suggesting my friend not to go to the rally, but again, he as already received the money and he has promised to take part. What a dillema.
