Pinpoint,
Unfortunately, anyone replying to you on this thread also has the danger of considering himself an 'awesome writer.' I don't consider myself an 'awesome writer' but I do enjoy writing. And many people who are kind to me have complemented on my writing skills.
I will reply to your post because I want to see you become an 'awesome writer.'
The main advice I have for you on how to improve your writing is this: practically practice arguing with people in an intelligent way. There are stupid ways to argue your point of view and there are intelligent ways to argue. Homeyji taught the difference in his last few posts on this thread that you are moderating:
http://sajha.com/sajha/html/index.cfm?threadid=94254
When you argue your point of view, don't be afraid that someone might defeat your arguments. Today they might defeat your arguments, tomorrow they might defeat your arguments. day after, they might defeat your arguments. Meanwhile, you will keep building strength. And eventually you will kick their ass. That is why so many colleges and schools in America encourage free speech and debates. This improves confidence.
The important thing is to know how to defeat both your opponents point of view and also your own. Most people only know how to defeat their opponents point of view but have no idea how to defeat their own point of view. This makes them weak.
